I just wanted to let everyone know that PPP was updated on friday. The new release incorporates a ranking system and a flagging system for advertisers that you all my find pretty cool.
murphman, can you post here how much the fee's are for advertisers? As I understand it there are fee's in addtion to what the blogger gets paid but that information doesn't seem to be readily available on the site. Or maybe you can post a link to the page that does contain that info in case I missed it.
Ok, I just started my first opportunity on PPP. The service looks really promising to me. I especially like that they review each blog-post before crediting the blogger. Of course this service depends on the number of bloggers paticipating. And this again depends on the number of advertisers and vice versa. I really hope they get enough advertisers and bloggers to keep this business runnning. I will put some money into it for my share (is this correct english? ) Kind regards, Hans
From my experience, I cant confirm for sure, but the # of bloggers posting up opportunities has risen substantially. It used to take 3 days for 40 bloggers to respond, now it takes a day or less. The traffic you get (initially) seems to be a lot like Digg/slashdot/etc - curious, but does not convert into buyers for the most part. I have seen a few sales; and for my latest experiment, I made a blog specific coupon for a group of items I'm promoting via the service. I'll see how well the coupon works and if it improves conversion.
I've run a number of opportunities through PPP now. It seems that the number of bloggers is increasing (I see a wider variety of bloggers on each opp). That will need to continue, however. Getting multiple links from the same blogger is of limited utility. In fact, it would be nice to be able to disallow bloggers that posted on a previous opportunity. You would need to be able to tie that to particular opps, though. As an agency, we're using PPP for a number of clients. I might not want multiple postings for the same client, but the same blogger posting about multiple clients might be fine. I'd also like to know what PPP has for regionally focused and/or foreign language bloggers. Perhaps some sort of demographic categorization of the bloggers, so that I can at least see if there is reasonable chances of such an offer being well received.
What's your experience with the sustainability of the posts? Do they stay longer than the 30 days? Kind regards, Hans
I just signed up a week or two ago and will hopefully be posting in the blog that has been approved today.
Wow... They rejected my opportunity (no, it wasn't pr0n, warez or whaterver-bad related ). Never would have expected that. Of course I absolutly understand and respect their point of view. The problem was, that with my service the readers of the blogs could end up on marketers (oh, who could that be? ) mailinglists. PPP really cares about the bloggers and their readers. Fair enough! Hope they will refund my money, since I don't really have any other site to advertise via their service... Kind regards, hans
Heard of it? Oh Yes! I have 3 articles approved and paid every day. It's a great little earner! It works very well for marketing your site too! Col
I think the bloggers are still limited to US bloggers, so the foreign language blogs are going to be limited (obviously, some US bloggers blog in non-english). The demographic category of the bloggers (or more interesting - their readers) is a tough nut to crack. Most bloggers I know know nothing about their basic traffic statistics, let alone their readers' demos. But, you are correct - PPP could easily collect demos on the bloggers and make that available to potential advertisers.
Edited again to add: Nevermind...I got a message from PPP support letting me know I did it right. Thanks for looking whoever looked. LOL I did my first payperpost job today and am not sure I put the img src link in right. Can I ask someone who has already been paid by PPP to check it. I can't post my link here, but I can pm it to you. All I see is a very little box at the end of my post. Is that what I'm supppose to see? Edited to add - I think my problem is that I'm not sure where to put the <img src=http:""/> link. Is it right after the link I'm featuring or at the end of the post or before the link. I hope I'm not being to confusing. I'd like to be more technically HTML savvy. Since this is my first post for PPP, I just wanted to make sure I'm doing it right. I can't wait to see the forum for PPP! Saw the latest blog entry and thought the subjects would be welcomed by everyone, especially newbies!
