I thought I'd contribute to the PPP bashing frenzy from a different angle: has anyone noticed how long it takes for them to approve a post? It takes about 2 weeks for them to bother their arses and check your submission AND approve your payment. Someone has just pointed out to me that if it takes 2 weeks for a post to be approved and then you have to wait 30 days for payment that's really 2 weeks of advertising free of charge. PPP's ineptitude, lack of urgency and slovenly approach to post approval is conning free advertising out of their bloggers. Combined with the requests for positive reviews, dire lack of opportunities, petty restrictions and poorly updated opportunity list can PPP get any lower?
As they're a fast growing start up I'd give them the benefit of the doubt on this one. They do offer more opportunities than any of the competitors, that's for sure.
What's the value of their offers though? "Promote shitty shit webmarketing product that nobody has heard of. Please write a positive review including the phrase 'this is the best webmarketing product in the world ever'. Offer only available if you have a PR6 blog about the 'Life and Times of Geoffrey Chaucer', live in Outer Mongolia, have a black dog called 'Spot', have brown shoulder length hair and use the Safari web browser. Offer value $4.00". If you look closely you also see that most of the offers on their list are actually already taken. You get my drift?
If you post is going to get approved, then it will be approved in 5 days or so. If your post is going to be rejected, then it will take a longer time - like 10 days ( dont know why they take so much time for rejecting a post ) Its my experience.
A few days ago i made my first post at payperpost and quickly realised that point made of the website you have posted about getting free promotion, it does seem a very long time to wait. If my post is rejected i can accept that but it would be better to know sooner rather than later.
Note that your payment date is 30 days from posting, NOT APPROVAL. Therefore, approval time (1 day or 10 days) has no bearing on when you get paid.
