Well the money in question is $4, I could get that money right now (Infact I have) but I was just wondering would they really take someone to court?

How did you manage to geta negative balance? Did someone do a chargeback? Anyway, for 4 buck I don't think it's worth the fuss. And maybe someday you will need to pay something with paypal or get paid, might as well leave your account working.

Nah, they just bark and keep on barking, flooding your email box with constant spam of automated begging.

Haha...I wouldn't count on it. If I had the money that Paypal had, I sure as hell would take you to court to prove a point. And they will.

Hmm.... are you sure that e-mail actually is from PayPal, and isn't a phishing scam? I get those scams in my inbox every day, one cleverer than the other.

If it is indeed is from PayPal, I don't know what they're smoking to be sending out that for a negative balance of $4...

I would pay it ASAP. They won't take you to court for $4 but its probably in their terms that negative balances incur fees of say $xx amount a week or month.

By the time you get to court you could see them suing for hundreds plus legal fees (thats the expensive part), if not more.

For $4, its not worth tempting it. The thing is, you owe them that money so why not just pay it?

When it all comes down to it, what would you have to gain by not paying it? 4$?

I would suggest paying it and putting it behind you. IMHO. :)

Ha ha ha! I'm not sure how thats possible, unless a chargeback as stated before, but still, thats incredibly unusual, and hilarious. You better pay them, as stated before, they have the money and there willing to use it to crush anyone who steals any more that a penny from them, even if they are loyal, hard working, and have a family of 12.
