I sold a site recently on Ebay, it sold for 150 GBP, anyhow I thought all was well I send the file over to the person [which was a unique script], the domain and a little help of how to run it, and now I have paypal neg balance. The person is filling a non-recept :(. I am angered that my script and domain have now been stolen, and I am gonna be in debt :-|. What can I say to paypal to reinforce that I gave him everything he brought? I know paypal and electrionic goods dont go well together but.. I am angry! I know they cant really do much for getting what I owe paypal due to me being 16, but I fill like I have been cheated. I gave the site to the person for CHEAP (aka a same style site sold for over £1000) and it really puts a blow in my aim to be able to buy a new PC. I try to be honest all of the time, and it upsets me that I cant prove to paypal that I have been :-\ Or can I?

Never transfer EVERYTHING immediately to the person you are selling for, this should be your lesson for next time. I'm about your age and i know how hard you worked on this, but as for the legal field, i am afraid there's nothing to be done.

    Ebay about what happened.
    Give them all the particulars.

Then do the same with paypal.
Put in a dispute if that person grabbed his money back.

Keep in mind, ebay owns paypal.

So if you can prove to ebay what transpired, ebay will do what they can do to get your money back.

Bad thing is, this happens a lot on ebay.
Especially with new members (or old members who sign up with a new account) who do this just to get something free.

    Hope you prevail!@!!!

I really angers me. The buyer has got FTP details, Cpanel details, domain pending transfer and help and tips from me, he brought it and I gave it to him. I hope that paypal can see from past sellings that I am a honest seller. I fill that if I refund the seller I am losing out due to the fact he had direct access to the script (backend) of the site sold, which really is the main item in this sale. I can provide FTP logs showing the user logging in along with Domain name logs showing I sending the pending request

I've had an issue with PayPal before about electronic goods (such as websites). PayPal told me there is no guarantee for buyers on electronic goods so I can't understand why they refunded your buyers money.

They have a disputes process. Go through that. Also, since ebay owns PayPal, go through their disputes process as well. This issue is a fraud issue and you have rights, despite your age. Don't give up on this one.
