So here's what basically happened. I was an idiot to buy some iTunes gift cards off some guy on DP who said he bought them from his friend for a $1 who got them from playing on some undisclosed game site. So then, I stupidly decide, hey, this'd be a great way to make some money on eBay! So, that's exactly what I did, then today I get a dispute because the buyer's account was closed and they contacted Apple to open it back up and they told them about the code they used and that it had been purchased with a stolen credit card number. So, I gave them their money back, because that's the right thing to do. Then I sent an e-mail out to all my buyers and told them what was up and if there was anything going on with their accounts, and one told me that the same thing was happening, so I gave them their money back. Now, I'm trying to get the $240 I gave this guy for all the cards, (you know, I wasn't really thinking correctly, I thought it was okay because the first two had worked) but PayPal won't accept the claim because I'm supposedly basing it on the "quality" of the goods. I did file claims for all 10 transactions though, so he has all those notes on his account. But oh my gosh! There is no way I'm ever selling on eBay after this, I am so scared out of my life now! I just wanted the money to pay for my bills and last minute Christmas presents, honestly! I wasn't like going to buy a fancy new computer or 52" flat screen TV! Now I'm in the negative in my checking account which I just had to pay to get out of it last week, having to pay insufficient funds charges of $25 is no fun!
You poor thing... I hope everything works out for you. Sounds to me like you got scammed all the way around. EEEK. Can you talk to your bank and kind of explain what is going on and see if they will wave those nasty overdraft fees? I have gone to my bank for similar things and have become great friends with the banks president... She now only expects a phone call. Sometimes honesty is the best policy ya know. I hope you are still able to have a wonderful christmas even though this happen to you. Good Luck
Thanks, I appreciate it. The overdraft charges won't be a big deal as it's only $25 every five days. The good thing is that it's only -$60 something and I just shoved $50 down it yesterday, so it'll only be -$20. I'm just really glad that the buyers are taking it very well and are being patient with me.
