PayPal Withdrawl...

Can anyone tell me how many days does it take to Receive cheque from paypal to india.I withdrew $2000 from paypal on 15 may 2005 but i haven't got the cheque yet. I have mailed to paypal but no response from them. i am not happy with their customer care centre.Is money safe with Paypal.is there any other company or alternative where i can operate my all money transactions safely and get money timely.

 

It's really surprising to me that there aren't a slew of major players in this market. International funds transfer is a wide open industry - I think the major issue is gaining the cooperation of financial institutions. Fraud is a problem, but there are always ways to safeguard against fraud and really all you have to do is charge your end users a few bucks more - which they will gladly pay since there is virtually no competition in this arena.

I've never asked for a check from PayPal, but I thought there timelines were around 2 weeks here in the States. Who knows how long for India, but I bet it's going to be another two weeks. I'm sure good old Homeland Security is causing extra delays these days - especially to the middle east. Over $10K is a red flag transaction here in the US (The gov gets notified with any transaction over this amount). It's never a delay or anything like that, but they do get notified. I'm sure the threshold is a little lower for international transactions.

i am using premier a/c

 

I had a bussiness account, The bussiness name which I had did not have an bank account with that name the check which i applied for was useless for me now they are taking ages to cancel the cheque? is there a way to cancel it quickly?
It takes around 10-12 days for the cheque to arrive here in india dont know about other countries.

Yeh, When I had premier account.
I have canceled the bussiness account back to premier account
and today applied for another cheque..

Actually I did the same stupid mistake of converting to business account. But the next moment I realized what foolishness I was doing. Then emailed paypal and now everything Ok.

My paypal withdrawls were always within a few days, but i'm based in England.

 

paypal doesn't respond properly to asian countries. They should send echeque in asian countries also
