Paypal Withdraw to India Delayed again (Feb. 2009)?

Yes I agree but people should understand that PayPal stated 5-8 business days means it can take up to 8 Business days. So whenever you request money do request 2-3 days ahead of your planning dates.

 

Hi Rohit, we are aware of that but point is that withdrawals requested on after 21st are even credited. Issue is specifically with 19th & 20th feb transactions.

Well there is a reasons on it as there are 3 non working days after that and I guess they are using mass payment option with NEFT. Also don't forgot that NEFT is not only doing transfer of PayPal but widely use bank branches payment transfer too.

 

I too did a withdrawal on Feb-20th and i still have not received it yet. I checked with my bank and they say they have not received any payment from them. I have sent a mail to paypal about this, no idea what happened. And even the paypal request i made on Feb-23rd is not credited to my account. i wonder what is happening. I hope this is a temporary situation and we will get our payments soon. Anyone who gets the payment for the transfers done on Feb-20th and after, please update it here.

 

No, I got maximum in 2 days from paypal.

It is very fast,

the delay is only from bank

 

Even I am a victim of 20-Feb-2009 transfer to my ICICI bank account. The amount shows to be with Completed status but the money has still not been deposited in my account. Did any one try calling up PayPal and explaining the problem.

Did you get the money back in your PayPal account since they are confirming that the bank rejected the transaction.

But Still its paypal who have to Fix this problem by contacting their banker who will contact RBI then

and its not individual case.I guess atleast few hundred user of paypal are effected

 

I m facing the same problem. I initiated a transfer on 19th FEB and i was shown COMPLETED by paypal on 20th FEB. It was made to my HDFC bank... still no money in my account!!

Any ideas?? Wht should i do? Are we scammed?

I too withdrew money from PayPal into ICICI on the 20th of Feb. I have done this a hundred times before, and this is the first time it has taken so long to come.

As for others, it showed "Completed" in the PayPal status on the 20th itself. I mailed ICICI and told them that I was expecting a NEFT transfer from Paypal and gave them the Unique Transaction ID on the Paypal website.

The replied asking for the following details:

Date of transaction:
RBI Settlement Date
RBI Reference no:
Remitters account no:
Remitters name:
Remitter Bank:
Whether EFT/SEFT/NEFT:
Amount:
Your Mobile No. :

I was only able to fill up some of the details as the others are probably internal to paypal and the RBI. I replied back with whatever I could and asked them to help me if possible.

Waiting for a response now. Will keep this post updated.

I'm NOT alone, and add the date 22nd Feb as well. I have still not received funds to my SBI account, which I used to get within 2 days.

Also, I can assure there is NO fault at bank end, one of the NEFT done from ICICI bank today's morning has been cleared today only.. so fast!

Hope we get the things on track by tomorrow... the last NEFT settlement period of this week. Otherwise I'm a bit sure about coming Monday.

Be informed that PayPal deducts Rs250 on a returned transaction, and if it happens to everyone waiting for funds in their account, it will be a big loss for Indians!

its a case of stealing money by paypal in such recession sceneario

 

i put the transfer my amount and got with in 3 days.. i don't suffer this problem.
