Paypal Withdraw to India Delayed again (Feb. 2009)?

Just received the below reply from Paypal:

"Thank you for contacting PayPal. I apologize for any inconvenience it has caused you. I understand your frustration over the funds that are not posted on your bank account. Let me assist you with that. Electronic transfers to your bank account usually take 5-7 business days to process. Holidays and weekends are not recognized as business days for most banking facilities, which may result in a delay in your
banking transactions. If you are unable to locate the deposit at your bank, and the status of the transaction is still listed as completed, we can initiate a trace on these funds once 14 business days have passed. In this case, please contact us and our Customer Service will provide all the information to initiate the trace procedure.
Thanks for your patience and collaboration.

 

Man! If it get reversed , it will be 54/$ almost as paypal adds 2.5% conversion charges. So suppose if the amount sent was $250 @48/$ = Rs12000 then the amount returned would be 12000/54 = $222 approx.

 

Checked again in my bank account but NO LUCK....

 

So we all have to send bank statement after 14 days ?

 

ohh who will bare the loss then?? don't we get the amount that has been calculated ? I mean if it was $48 when transferred and now if they reverse it, it won't be $48?? dammmmm really really frustating

Just leak this news to all media electronic as well as print and see the miracle

 

just send emails to all media houses asap. tell them that thousands of people in India are waiting for the money and give reference of this forum to them.

 

I had made 9 withdrawals valued more than $ 2400 but have received none. My first withdrawal is more than 14 days. I think due to Recession Paypal is trying to keep our Money to earn interest or may be to fraud with us.

How come a company like Paypal (which is a part of billion dollar company eBay) unable to solve this problem and only giving us misleading excuses.

We Indian are going to have festivals in about a weeks time (Holi) and all of us need money. Don't know if this is going to be ever solved.

Please keep us informed if any one gets any withdrawal from Paypal to their account.
I had checked mine twice today but the money is still not there ..... :-(

 

They are just fooling us sending their sample template. They know what the issue is but they are not revealing it. Now just buying time to fix the
issue sending email templates. We are loosers trusing PP blindly. I withdrew on 19th. So tomorrow will be 14 days.

Guys i mailed Paypal this morning and keeping on checking my bank account. No luck. Guys dont worry as we will get the money. My friends got the money who have with drawn after that period. So no one can cheat us and we will get it. Keep the spirit.

 

Please send this sad story to all media houses asap . That may do something just posting on this forum is not going to solve any problem

thanks for your attempt to ban me here. You must be an id....t you are talking about cities I am talking about national and international media. I wonder who is an asset to this forum you or me.

 

We should make an association of all people involved in exports and using e-commerce. Even web developers are doing export of their services. India has an enormous potential of exports but our government has taken away all privileges which exporters enjoyed though licensing has become quite liberal but that was done by BJP govt.

 

Well, if you know about INDIA TV(News Channel), it can help. they use to show several news n may show this on TV.. lol..

 

i still feel that it is nothing to do with paypal doing fraud or something. Some technical glitch in their system causing this problem, i believe. If anybody can remember last year i think, all withdrawals to VISA credit card went delayed and they did fix their issue.

I think first their technicians should see the trace to locate the exact problem. I think getting their trace would take about 14 days.

Right.
In case of a reversal, if the root cause of all this is within Paypal not NEFT then i don't know what they will do.
But if the reversal is initiated from NEFT end then the current $rate + 2.5% commission will (most probably) hold true. And may be Rs.250 additional penalty.

But reversal chances are really low. So no worries.
