Paypal will not back you up

I bought a digital item from here and what I got for my time was a link to a product that was corrupt. It was to supposed to have 6000 items in the file and all I was able to get was a 5kb corrupt download.

I went to the seller to get them to either send me a new link, send it by email or some other way and they would not do anything about.

I went to Paypal and filed a claim and some of the choices they gave was if the item was damaged. I chose that. Here is what they replied back after I pushed the transaction.

"Our investigation into your claim is complete. As stated in our UserAgreement, the claims process only applies to the shipment of goods. Itdoes not apply to complaints about the attributes or quality of goodsreceived. Therefore, we are unable to reverse this transaction or issue arefund."

If you buy anything listed on Digital Point forums using Paypal you may be sh*t out of luck because the person you are dealing with only has to provide you with a link according to Paypal. They do not have to provide you with a working product.

Just thought you might like to know. Maybe after reading this you will not be a victim like I was.

I would appreciate it if you would pass the word to everyone else that you know of that buys items from here with Paypal.

You aren't telling anyone here anything new. Were you not aware of the policy before the purchase? Did you make sure the person you were dealing with had a good reputation? Have you attempted to resolve the problem with the seller?

Digital Goods sales are risky. You could always get an empty .rar with a bunch of pictures and text in it, but not what you are buying, and you can do nothing about it, neither PayPal can.

Purchase of Digital Products is dangerous anywhere, it is already clearly stated in Paypal TOS. They are only a third party payment processor. What you can do, which is recommended in DP is to leave behind a -ve Itrader for the scammer so that others will know of this and avoid that scammer.

Who was it who provided you the currupted file? I am curious to know who is it because I was just about to pay someone for a very large file.

Also, I have been through that with paypal. I have NEVER been compensated for either digital products or physical products

Why did you choose damaged goods? Do you think the corrupted 5kb file had anything to do with the product you were looking for?
    Perhaps this was the problem
