If you are the vendor you must have a PayPal business account, but if you are the buyer you have multiple options to make the payment.
hi sampathsl. thank you for that info. im looking to find out if having a premier account will allow credit card payments without having to make your customer sign up with paypal. if using a premier account, can the customer continue with the credit card payment process without his own paypal account?
hi iemanja, i use paypal website payments standard on my site. buyer does "not" have to have a paypal account to complete a purchase, but, paypal does put the offer right up front. They can choose to pay with a credit or debit card instead of signup.
Website Payments Standard: Feature List (Customer Checkout Procedure) While it is good to ask questions, you should also make sure you fully understand what you are signing up for.
edc, what i have is a premier account. my customers then wont need to have a pay pal account to purchase on my website using a credit card? or do i have to upgrade to business for this? btw, this a philippine paypal account. would you know if that matters? i also have a question for the business account. are there any monthly fees associated with the business account? i dont need a virtual terminal - i know there is a monthly fee for it but other than that and the transaction fee, are there any others? the information paypal supplies on their website is messed up. they are not as straightforward as they should be. i tried emailing paypal customer service but their answers do not help either.
