Hi, I'm in dispute where I drew a website design and the buyer asked for dispute, where from I escalated to claim. So paypal will make a decision on this. When I click on 'resolve' button from 'resolution center, 'I have option to go to 'resolve claim' button, where I can provide shipping number, etc. Since I'm a web designer, no need to provide shipping number, so how can I add files as I see no button for doing this. Also, if I don't provide any of shipping adress or other files to proove I'm right, will the buyer automaticaly win this dispute?
No, but you will have to prove that the service that was agreed upon was completed and delivered. Paypal's ruling on non-tangible goods can swing either direction. Generally you have a 50/50 whether you'll win or they'll win in cases like this.
You can't, as far as I know, and that's why ultimately Paypal is a risky service for people who deal with intangibles. Likewise, if they suspend your account due to suspicious activity there's no way for you to prove you're innocent if you deal with intangibles, because you won't be able to provide proof of shipping. Paypal froze $30,000 of donation funds received by SomethingAwful.com. There's a whole story about that if you do a search and it deals with the problem of Paypal and intangibles.
In the resolution area of Paypal you can generate a Fax Cover sheet and you will have to fax any documents. You can't upload them. Your documents have to have proof of conversations agreeing to the price and service. I've been through this before. - If you have trouble with getting the fax cover sheet, then call them and they will tell you what to do. You can also send an email to the dispute department with your case ID in the subject line and then attach or forward any docs to them via email... ( I learned that trick by accident! ) Good Luck!
You just open the files and print screen the content of the files. And save the print screen as .jpg format. The upload it to the paypal It always work for me
yep ... after pushing the 'resolve complaint' where instead of transaction button I placed 'web design' text, I had the option to add files. Tho I had this option and I did everything I was asked, for some reason I was getting an error so I couldn't upload files. All this beeing said, today paypal finalized this dispute in my favor and I congratulate them as they are right. Web Designers are straight persons, well most of them. Let's say 90% of web designers are fair. (hope so) Thank You All for your messages!
You would have won regardless because it wasn't shipped goods, Paypal always favours the seller in these situations and hold the buyer responsible regardless who's right.
