Well, it appears that Moneybookers is international available, see http://www.moneybookers.com/app/help.pl?s=fees
Okay, I'm going to add to this loooong discussion because I just recently wrote an article on the topic. Basically, you need Paypal if you are going to do anything online because the whole online world uses Paypal BUT you should be careful and realize that you are vulnerable to their crap. My personal solution to this is to simply keep a low balance in my account. Once it gets over a certain amount I withdraw and put it in the bank, where it is protected by the government. BTW, I didn't write the summary which starts the article out and I don't believe it is quite accurate.
Hi Guys, Lots of you seem to prefer Paypal. I guess I'm curious why? Stability / Availability: Very Good Ease of Implementation: Good Support: Poor Customer Usability: Fair (barely) That would be my rating of Paypal... Does anyone know of some payment companies that allow you to completely customize the look and feel of the checkout process? This is an important feature to many clients, but is not widely offered among payment services. -bmack
I loved Paypal..that is...up till a week ago. Right out of nowhere, my site sales dropped dramatically. I started hunting for the reason why. I finally found what I think is causing it. Paypal now requires the buyer to include their phone number. I checked the option to NOT ask for it, but it does anyway. I called Paypal up, and the lady that FINALLY (45 minutes) answered, told me to uncheck the selection for 'require phone number'. I told her it WAS unchecked. So she went and got a supervisor, who told me that PAYPAL now requires it. I asked why there was an option to uncheck it. He could not answer that. I don't know about you, but I can't see handing out my phone number just to buy something. I get enough unwanted calls as it is. And I'm sure my customers feel the same. This has hurt my business badly.
Even I had greenzap, but due to so less number of ppl use it and less stores that accept. I have decided not use it. Hope they improve and provide a competitive solution.
paypal is definetly the best but Google checkout will definetly be a serious competitor for paypal after it offers the service in more countrys
Yea but possibly you need to run one more payment processor along with paypal, such as 2checkout, worldpay, chronopay, moneybookers ect depending on your customers need. I think paypal is not just sufficient in case.
