Currently I still use Paypal, but I have been having doubts about continuing to conduct business with their service. I have had several friends that do referral marketing that have had their accounts put on hold for several months with access to their earnings. I have been hearing good things about Alertpay and was thinking about giving them a try. What is every ones input on this?
Thankfully I´ve never had problems with either. I think Alertpay is good, but suffers from being in PayPal´s shadow.
Over the 90% peoples are using a pay pal in the world.. Because, it is very easy to use as well as secure for online payments..
I created this account specifically to respond to this question. Well, after browsing this forum, it looks extremely helpful and a great place to learn ways to make my site better. Anyway, AlertPay has not given me any problems (though I haven't used it much yet). I think they operate and function JUST like PayPal...the interface actually looks a lot like PayPal (I guess they're making it look similar to make it easier for people moving over from PayPal). It's clearly nowhere near as popular as PayPal, but I think it's a great alternative to the big bully on the block that is PayPal. It's a shame PayPal has almost a monopoly in the "internet merchant" thing because they're really terrible with customer service! They got so big now that they will suspend anyone for minor incidents just to protect themselves. My account was "permanently limited" abruptly even though I had the account 10 years...they didn't even warn me. Had I known I would have taken the shampoo off eBay! What a joke, right?! So anyway, PayPal is really strict and they will limit your account and screw your business up if they suspect foul play even when it could completely be legit. They might hold your account for months if you have too much money in it...how weird is that?! If they permanently limit your account, you will never EVER be able to create another account because they will trace your name, your address, your IP, your bank account, your email, and suspend you again. You're pretty screwed if you rely on them for your business. Bottom line: PayPal is well known and everyone uses it, unfortunately...but more and more people are switching out to different merchants as PayPal is getting out of hand, I think. AlertPay is a nice alternative and less strict with their policy. It doesn't hurt to just create an account and try it out.
Paypal's better because it's used by a lot of users, buyers and sellers. And most of the websites use paypal now. With alertpay, you have limited options.
