Hi, I'm acting as consultant for a micro brewery. We want to start selling bottled beers online to UK mainland. NatWest and Barclays want huge upfront payments but PayPal seems very reasonable. I've been advised to keep a separate account to recieve PayPal payments. Can anyone see the sense in this? Is it to keep from having someone rip off the main business account? I was ripped off once - money taken - but it was returned by PP. If we don't make PP payments using the designated account for receipt of PP payments should we be safe? Is there anything else I should think about? Cheers DPers
The last time i have read paypal's terms and conditions there was something about "you are allowed to have only two paypal accounts - one personal and one company". Please verify this so you don't end with your paypal account disabled.
You are allowed to have 2 PayPal accounts. 1 Personal 1 Business Also you need to send PayPal and email if you want to start selling alcoholic beverages, I read that in there TOS sometime.
http://www.electronic-payments.co.uk/ great site for comparing different payment option, requires registration now but I will say it's worth it. Also I have at least 4 paypal accounts but I run a number of companies/ventures i've not had any issues (other than having a personal account hacked a few years back). That doesn't mean I might not have an issue in the future.
