My friend is going to open one PayPal account for buying things online or for sending money through Xoom. Anyways, he has a Credit Card from VT Bank, Russia. Basically, I will be using it on his behalf as the account will be Indian. Will there be any problem if I use his Russian Credit Card to verify the account ?
Can not exactly say.. But, in some cases we experienced while verifying a cc from a different country got this message "the credit card you are trying is issued form different the country you have" the same case, we had with moneybookers too. when we tried with a friend in Bangladesh. and astoundingly, they rejected, and the same allowed with pakistan. as we tried. Let us hope for the best. try and error. nothing u could lose but a little effort... if its well, no problem. if not.. well. there is always a remedy. gud luk
No, that message appeared may be bcoz Bangladesh and Pakistan are not in PayPal list. If anything happens then it will happen while registering, right ?
You could get an error after you register, when you try to validate the account. Why don't you contact paypal staff and explain the situation to them?
If the account is Indian and is regularly accessed through one single Indian ip then there would be no problem. As for verification,I suggest not to use that Russian CC,rather try a VCC and make sure ur friend from Russia never access the account, cos it will get limited instantly.
You can indeed get verified in PayPal using Indian Debit Cards, i.e, State Bank of India Debit Cards. Check this out http://paypal.statebank.org.in and this http://forums.digitalpoint.com/showthread.php?t=1443314
virtual credit card is probably the simplest solution. try it out though. contact customer support if it doesn't work.
VCC is just like any other CC, VCC itself is a CC, only difference is it is virtual not like that plastic card that you can touch.
