Appreciate answers from experts on Paypal: Can I get my account verfied with a CC that is valid till end of next month. If yes, what happens after that? Should I re-enter the verfication code for the new card? What happens if I discontinue that CC? Is this verification a onetime activity in the sense that Paypal wants to check once that I am indeed who I say I am, or is this an ongoing activity that each time there is a transaction, paypal will somehow check if my CC details are valid? Also, does paypal charge my CC for verification? Does Paypal utilize my CC information to charge me in dispute situations? (God forbid - but just want to be sure).
yes paypal will charge you for verification .and if your card is active till end of this month you can add it into your paypal account and make it verify.if you discontinue with creditcard you will not be able to send/transfer funds it will give you card invalid/declined error .when you get new card just delete the old card from paypal and you can add new creditcard . paypal might ask you for re-verification depends on your account activity.and yes paypal can use your cc in dispute situations for refund. i belive. not in all the case but sure in some case.
I feel hemant has said it all. He has answered your query. I just wanted to say that the above mention rule does not apply to other ways of card verification.
Actually the amount is US$1.95 and it is used so that a charge can be made to your card and thus allow the Expander Use Code to appear on your credit card statement. The money will be added to your paypal balance once you are verified.
