Paypal Verification - Credit Card

I added a credit card to my paypal account. But it mentioned you need to join the Expanded Program to send and receive unlimited funds. Right, I proceeded there and the credit card wouldnt authorise a 1.95 $ payment. So I contacted Paypal and they said contact the bank.

On contacting the bank , the person said RBI doesnt allow foreign transactions from India via Credit Card. That is so intriguing.

I have a Visa Credit Card, in India.

Any body facing this problem. Is there an alternative solution for this problem ?

    WHAT ?
Does this mean no Indian can join the extended use program ? But in other threads, many told me that they got their account verified with a CC..

    I am really unsure.

When I contacted the bank manager, he said that, Reserve Bank of India doesnt allow these foreign transactions.

    Indians can join.

Try using it by a American Express Card - The best and 100% trusted way until you have'nt did anything childish with the card.

Or try using Master Card CC...:)

If you have HDFC/ICICI bank accounts than you can simply verify your accounts with HDFC/ICICI Credit Card. Othere way is ask VCC from your banks and verify your account within 1 minutes. You can use netbanking site of for that.

HDFC bank have netsafe service which provide VCC.

You must choose a card that can be used internationally. Lot's Indian banks issues CC which can be used for only domestic use.

Nope man Paypal allowed both banks CC. Even you can also verify by your ATM card. Check it here:

I have an ATM card, but it has 4 digits, Paypal needs a 3 digit number.
