Getting verifed with either a checking/savings account is very important, otherwise PayPal will limit you.

    May I just add:

For those of you who have received a rolling reserve on your account

Do not feel like you are being targetted. This is a practice that Paypal have put into place for thousands of sellers online, and it's to cover their backs incase debts are incurred.

With the current economic climate (although, we are steadily recovering), it's a common story to hear of companies going insolvent. This could impact Paypal greatly if a lot of money is owed.

What can you do about it? Discuss with your account manager. Ask for a lowered reserve, of ask for more leniancy in a certain period of time. However, they will not totally remove the reserve.

A reserve is much better than a limitation, and you will still have full access to your account.

    GOOD LUCK!

Withdrawal amounts - Probably the main reason most accounts will get limited. The amount you withdraw is very important. Think, someone signs up a new account, and withdraws £1,500 in the first week. A little dodgey, don't you think? It seems that regardless of the amount, paypal often limit on the first transaction. But for your first withdrawal, I would suggest not withdrawing more than £50. Give it a week or so, withdraw another £50, and then slowly creep up the amount by £20 or so. Likewise, don't go from withdrawing £50, to then withdrawing £600. This again will raise a flag, and is likely to get your account limited.

Can often be a good idea to WAIT to withdraw your funds. Don't scab them as soon as you've received them. Leave them in your paypal account for 2 weeks or so. This way it allows time for possible complaints to come in (which they probably won't), allows time for any potential packages to be delivered, and makes it seem like you aren't extremely urgent for your money. After this period is up, go for the withdrawal.

<<< this i guess should be removed

coz i have received fund in mine unverified acc around 2k$ and after 2hrs i verified it and Taken fund to mine bank next hr.. so it seems nothing like u should keep fund for atlest 2 weeks ..

its your fund , u r owner. PayPal is not owner of that fund ,. so nothing to worry .

    just mine opinion

This is useful tips, but it's late to me.
I have to accounts, one premier and one personal (paypal permits it). My wife has premier account.
I recently transfered couple thousands from my wife account to my personal account (after receiving ebay payments), now both accounts have been limited. I have to wait until all items delivered to lift my wife account, but my personal account is now closed by them and my money stucked in there.
I have submited all documents and information, but no help.
I am power seller on ebay for over 5 years with more than 500 feedback scores at 98% positive.

    Hello....

About 3 hrs back my account got limited.........

Just now i got my full access back.....
Guys wen u get ur account suspended.....just follow the rules........

    FIRST STEP :---------

Login to ur account..... they will ask for a proof (bank account no. or something). do give it properly and carefully. Then they will ask you to change ur password and Security questions.....Do dat.

    SECOND STEP -------------

If u have Skype.....its good...other wise download it.....
Dial the PayPal Toll Free no. : +18882211161

U will asked to enter the primary phone number linkd to ur paypal account..
U have to wait a bit long........I knw its boring but do wait.

Someone will pick up.... Tell him the problem and he/she will ask u for a proof again...like last 4 digit of my bank account ( he asked me this )..........
And ur account will be restored in no time...............

DON'T GET SCARED........PAYPAL is doing this for us only...for our security....

    Thank You.... Happy Trading

I have a paypal account but it doesn't verified yet. I heard there is a technique about verifying paypal account using VCC. Is VCC legal or not?

VCC is not legal stuff. You need to verify using a CC linked to your address
