    Hello All,

    yes paypal took my 21$.

Let me tell you the story:
I've initiated a withdrawal to my Indian Bank Account for 320$. Transaction initiated successfully.

Now after 13-14 hours paypal has inquired about 1 transaction that is done before 2 days and put those transaction amount on hold.

When they put those money on hold, my balance become -Ve and they have cancelled the withdrawal. I don't have any problem with that but they have given me 299$ only in return and they took mine 21$. I know there is a return fee but it is only 250 INR (around 7$) Why so?

Did anybody got a similar type of problem ??

please put your comments and suggestions..

    Thanks,

Paypal tends to take a percentage of all payments.

Since that was a larger payment it took that much out.

they took 21 to cancel your negative fund

as you yourslf said that they are on hold and when paypal returned the money

    -21 + 320 = 299

you will get you $21 back if paypal clear the hold applied on it

    Nope that's not the case.

    Let me explain..

    I had 349$
    Then I've withdraw 320$ so 349$ - 320$ = 29$

Now 30$ payment become on hold. so my balance become 29$ - 30$ = -1$

They have cancelled my withdrawal and I have now only 299$ balance which should be 319$ (320$-1$).

    Got it?

Take a look at the detail transaction information for the refunds to see if they show what fees are involved. If there are any fees which are associated with the cancellation of the withdrawal, contact paypal and ask them to waive that as it is not your fault.

There is no fee mentioned over there.

They have actually reversed the transaction not cancelled. So I think there should not be any fee for that.

If it is a reversal, the money you withdrawn should be fully reinstated.

    Sir

I was supposed to receive a partial refund of $20. Before receiving the refund I had blocked the credit card from which I did my payment and removed it from my paypal profile. I have entered a new credit card in my paypal profile.

Paypal has said they have refunded the $20 in my blocked card? How is that possible?

Is there any way the amount can be sent to my new credit card which I have entered in paypal.

Can the seller to cancel the refund?

My old credit card has been blocked then how can the money be transfered to this card? I had to block this card because of poor services from this credit card company & hidden costs levied on me. I have taken them to consumer court. They are in no way willing to help me

    Aditya
