After reading a lot about xoom on DP, I was also thinking of transfering some cash to my bank account. but at one step i got stuck. while i was trying to send, it ask me account name, bank branch name, branch code. I got the first two, but i couldn't find the third. i mean no where in my account details i could find the bank branch code. i have an account in UTI bank, so could anyone help me find the branch code?
I hope it will be in ur pass book or check leaf ! or any documents u got any the time of join ! I recommend Xoom because I got my pp fund within 24hrs to my hdfc bank
In normal case your first 3 or 4 digit of your account number is your branch code IMO. Branch code of hdfc and icici account easily find through your first 3 or 4 digit of your account number.
thanks all. i called up the bank finally and asked. but anyways paypal site seems down today. anyone else saw that? Ekta.
BTW can you tell us its first 3 or 4 digit of account code (asking about branch code) Paypal is currently up for me but there is notice at their site
first 4 digits for my bank - UTI. And paypal working for me now. i saw that notice too later after it went back up.
For HDFC bank its first 3 digit of your account code and for ICICI bank its first 4 digit of your account code (For Branch Code).
Everything is mentioned at your checkbook. Branch code is the pin code of where bank is located. Branch district is the district name of where bank is located, if same town then ofcource same disctrict And bank branch name is also written at left bottom of your check book..... I used ICICI, so it was at left bottom...everything... good luck
Mayank i am not agree with you on this. Branch code is not pin code of where bank is located Check it yourself. Its first 3 or 4 digit of your account number.
Then xoom doesnt seem to care about it! I always entered "831001" which is the pin code of my area and bank area.....and i got my money transfered safely lolz and this is the only code thats not mentioned in checkbook, i took a risk and it worked weird is it? I always had an idea that they didnt care these...I think account holder name and account number and bank name is enough
Yea u r right..... The same thing happened with me too... I just entered my name & a/c number & i wrote my pin number unknowingly in the Branch code coloum... & i got it within 24hrs in my a/c I think they just verify the name & a/c number & just send the money o the a/c
