But what does it mean to withdraw in a debit card?

For credit card, it is clear.

But for debit card - I suppose each debit card is linked to a bank account, is that correct? If so, then how can you draw to a debit card and thus have the money reflect upon your debit card, and yet not have that reflect upon your bank account?

In other words, how is withdrawing to a debit card different from withdrawing to a bank account?

Also, it would be interesting to know what was the transfer rate that you could get.

By the way, I never knew VISA works with debit cards. Did you mean VISA Electron?

 

Hello please help i want to know today i try to verify my paypal account with standard chartered debit card to withdraw money from it.
But when i try to verify it says we were to unable to verify this card and i recived the mail and message from my bank that you have done a debit purchase.

What should i do now.

Please post screenshots from your paypal and bank accounts.

 

You cant verify ur a/c by debit card but you can withdraw funds to your debit card. I just checked it today. Just go to add/edit card option in profile menu. If you have added a debit card then it will show you the details of your card and there it will be written that you can withdraw.

Can you plz tell me is there any charge taken by your bank for this , is there any charge refecting in your bank statement ?,

if i am right the bank take some charges to convert $ Dollar into INR.

Just tried to add my ICICI debit card (VISA) but it says this card was denied by your Bank.
Its a 100% working card and I am using it for years for cash withdrawals, purchases (offline and online)...

 

Does your card say ( written on it ) its an international ATM / Debit Card ? Only those cards can be added i guess not sure but that's the one i have in my paypal

Yes says INTERNATIONAL. The name on the card is exactly same as in the Paypal account and there is a CSV code on the back as well.

 

if you want with draw money from paypal to icici,initially ,you need to add bank a/c in paypal .know you bank ifsc code it would take 2-3 days to get credited in your bank account.most of the debit card in india not work in paypal.you can get prepaid card from entropay to add in paypal. kotak mahindara provide netcard for credit card transaction similarly hdfc too.hdfc offers permanent card while kotak limited to use one time usage virtual card
