Guess who just sold a site on DP just recently for $200 and well the buyer willingly sent me $200 but he did the Unauthorized Transaction bull****. I already know I'm screwed from this deal, because I sent every file and all of it. One of the servers was sent a bit late but i sent it, and guess what he bullsh**ed the whole thing and said that he canceled it and "maybe it just takes awhile" I think not...
Before we sell our sites/domain or any critical things that cannot be reversed we should create a agreement paper mentioning their informations and details, if possbile contact them by phones and put their every crucial information on the agreement and commit a deal I am sorry to hear about you that you have lost some amount, but good that it wasn't a big price
I thought about this method, however, PayPal does not care about any proof you have if the buyer says the transaction was "unauthorized". If you are shipping tangible items, this is different, but with websites you have no chance if the buyer claims that it was unauthorized. You can file a police report if you get scammed, but for my situation it wasnt worth the time.
I would happily use escrow.com instead of paypal to sell my websites or other E-valuables on the net, but... "9/16/2008 4:19:27 PM: Your access to Escrow.com has been denied." Are they so silly and helpless in protecting themselves from scammers, that they have to go for banning an entire country's IP range? :C
