It is not advisable to withdraw now as it may get stuck again just like that of Feb-2010

That's a little good news then. But, still it is a long time when Wire Transfer just takes 3 - 4 days.

Yes, as what i said.....my friends cheque withdrawls do work, so my dear friend, need not worry, money will still flow but only bit late.
I think it would not be that difficult.

    OMG!!!
this is really crazy!! when will the GOVT/ RBI/ PAYPAL OR whatever realize that we are living in the 21st century and that there are many people who depend their incomes on the internet!!

we need fast services and now cheque!!?? And also only God knows how many people in India lost their paypal cheques on the way before it reaches the owner!!
instead of providing us new faster facilities , they are taking away one by one!! this is really bad!!

*someone should throw an over-sized dirty chappal/sandal on their faces!!! haha*

Guys ..Think of it...If we hold the payments in our pp accounts for 2 weeks...See about their profit from that ...Most of paypal users are from India Having paypal accounts with rotating $$$$..Holding Payments and sending crap mails ....We are ready to pay taxes ...but i think they need some CM or PM grandson's letter for clearing these problems..If they face the problem like this..gov ill take necessary actions and find a new way for SWISS accounts..lol

    Bad news...
I read some where on DP that its possible to get US bank account which can be used for paypal. Is that true?
If so, using the US bank online money transfer system we can transfer money to our local bank... it costs exchange fee though and other fees if applicable.
    But is that possible?
If check is the only option, it may take 2-3 weeks of time...

Well, cheques are not that big of a problem as are these two statements:

    Whaaaaat?!

Seriously? $2,500 USD per month? What do I do with the rest?

Next, we can't even use that money to pay for any purchases, or any kind of payments. I think we got something like this around May, too, although it turned out to be a spoof mail. This is going crazy!

Yep, it is an option. Not just USA; you can incorporate and open a bank account in NZ, Aus, Canada, Singapore, et al. They are better to conduct business but it might be a little tough for a non-resident.

I'm myself looking to incorporate my business somewhere else because regardless of whether the current situation gets resolved or not, it's very risky to continue *my* business with PP if they have so many major problems every few months.

Hey, I too recieved this email from paypal.. this is not good..

After reading the email, I thought to check, withdrawing money through paypal by CHEQUE, but when I read lower at the end it says this---
"""Note:Cheques sent to non-US banks cannot be cashed. Fees may be applied by the bank where the cheque will be deosited. For questions regarding these fees, contact the bank.""
    Whats this?
Cheques sent to Non-US banks means any bank outside of US, Thats Indian banks or others...

SO we can't cash the cheque then whats the use of it..
What do you guys think?? Am I thinking right??? Please Do correct me.. I am now totally CONFUSED.........
