Well i don't think that email was from paypal , there is no official word from paypal , so we may have to wait for sometime to know what exactly is happening.
Yes their should be some mistake from PayPal, We have no such issue and when I asked their toll Free number on of CCO also denied such a limitation, it only apply to South African customers!
I was under same impression, but one of my friend received email from paypal.. check this he even has provided the PAN info, still this issue and to add to it i have paypal account since 2007 but still nothing for me, so i am in doubt what's exactly going on.. because if regulations will apply they will ofcourse apply for everyone in india _____________ Dear XXXXX, In compliance with Indian regulations, if you are selling products and services to customers globally, please review the following important information: • Any proceeds or earnings received into your PayPal account from the export of goods and services should be withdrawn to your bank account within 30 days. • While making the withdrawal please make sure you select the purpose code that best fits your business. • Any proceeds or earnings received into your PayPal account from the export of goods and services may only be withdrawn to your bank account in India. Yes,Rohit Patel is right there is mistake from Paypal.I called Paypal on their tollfree number by Skype and their executive said me that Paypal did not developed rules for Indians and infact these rules are for only South African Paypal users
rohit, did you got similar email with the text i have posted, because it says "indian regulations", just bit worried
We are discussing here for sending payments, not for withdraw. There is another thread for paypal withdraw problems.
I get a feeling that with RBI jumping in .. we might see some strange decisions. Since if we get this law implemented and can't use paypal funds for sending out payments then indian government makes 3% service tax on all Credit card transactions .. so thats the bottom line, stopping paypal will boost indian government revenue by 3%
