Paypal starting to suck.

Well, this week has gone sorta odd. I got two disputes opened up and Paypal gave a limited amount of options. The first dispute was $100 worth and I don't know the whole story behind it, so I contacted the person who's e-mail is the Paypal account, and the guy responded back saying that "his account got upgraded from Premier to Business". Are disputes supposed to pop up when someone upgrades their account?

The second one was $4.95 worth and should be refunded (don't know why Paypal didn't give me an option to refund, unless I missed it) It involved someone paying me with "stolen funds". So yeah, I terminated the sucker and I hope the money will be returned soon. It's been 2 days, so I'm guessing by the end of the week Paypal will act properly.

So all in all, luckily I didn't order from Newegg my parts, cause otherwise I would've became in the negatives.

And what does this have to do with PayPal "sucking"? The story sounded more like personal issues rather something being PayPal's fault.

    Whats unfortunate is this:

Paypal is like McDonalds, its absolutely terrible (as far as frauds, scams, stupid fees, etc) and yet people still go to both like its there life.

Is anyone else getting this comparison?

I get that comparison, yet Paypal themselves doesn't fraud, or scam. Neither do McDonald's. McDonald's has terrible food, but you get what you pay for. If you don't like the fees, then tell me of another for paypal to exist. The fees are minimal at most, anyhow. It sure beats waiting for the mail for a money order.

Paypal always find their profit rather than helping customers in trouble.

I wanted to say that paypal is so lame... it does go into dispute a lot and sometimes takes forever to clear. However, I don't see anyone else in the game doing any better... I was going to write about all the negatives of paypal, and now I say.. paypal is cool. They've tried... and after a few more lawsuits they'll be so much better. I like paypal now.. !:D ty for helping me realize that!!

Well it sucks cause why would a simple account upgrade just withdraw the funds days later and then simply hold it. That's not a personal issue, it's a Paypal issue. Paypal has a horrible way of keeping people informed as to why. I only found out cause I e-mailed the guy and he told me.

As for the second transaction it sucked cause they didn't even list whether or not I could refund the transaction, if it had an option to refund now or whatever, then I would of had that resolved immediately.

Oh yeah that's gonna help out a LOT

An account upgrade wouldn't cause for a payment to be refunded and there would have to be more to it then that. On the second transaction, if your account wasn't limited at the time, then you could've sent the person money if there truly wasn't an option to refund the purchaser.

Personally, I think paypal has been sucking for a long time.

    "Starting" to suck? lol.

alertpay is one of the few alternatives that accepts adult content. I think if PayPal accepted adult sites using paypal to sell - they would double their income.

    Just my opinion.

So there might be more than what I think behind it. Dang, that $100 really would've helped me a lot. Oh well, guess I'll have to just cover what i want VIA a check.

I am living in China at the moment, have a Paypal account for three years now, not a single dispute, and I got my account verified while here. I guess it depends of the kind of customers you serve and get payments from :)
