Paypal. Someone Pranked me...

    Someone sent me some $ using a phised account and this is what is happening to me. I don't even know who would do such a thing. I already replied to paypal to check the IP logs of the other guys account or something.

    Recently, PayPal received a notification from a user regarding unauthorized access to his PayPal account. As a result, one of the payments credited to your PayPal account has been placed in a temporary hold while we investigate the claim.  PayPal constantly monitors transactions for unauthorized use of accounts in order to maintain the safety of our users.

    asking them to check the IP logs of the account and explaining to them, what may have happened.

    Why did someone send you $500, a service or product? Did you already send it to them? It totally sucks, and there isn't really anything you can do about it.

    nope. never sold anything. and don't do such later transactions. I fell that someone used a phised account and did such a thing. :mad:

    But why would someone send you $500? They would lose it if they sent it to you....unless....unless....they have your password as well??? :eek:

    this is done everyday.. and everyday lots of merchant get payment from stolen paypal account or stolen credit card payment.... which cause a great pain....
