I have shipping options setup with Paypal based on a % of sale for Ground and Priority. However, I also have a "Pick up" option. People are getting confused, because "Pick up" is the default option at Paypal because it's $0.00. So I want to display shipping options as a drop-down on my website, just under "add to cart." However, is there a way to choose the shipping options and then when someone clicks "add to cart," Paypal does the calculations there? It seems like the only way to provide shipping option on my website is to specify costs, but that would eliminate the calculations I need for varying sales. Ideas?
You should probably try e-junkie.com as a payment gateway. It's mainly used for digital downloads, but it supports physical products as well. They have an integrated shipping calculator, and tons of other features that should fix your problem. It's paid, but it isn't very expensive.
Anyone else agree? This site offers a lot of good-looking services, though does seem primarily focused on ebooks and digital assets. 'Would be great to find a service that just fits like this. This is the right track --something that fits in-between Paypal and my own Website. Thanks!
Not really, it is used mainly for ebooks and digital products, however, their cart system offers a pretty strong physical product support system, like size, color, quantity, taxes, and many other variables. They have a 7 day trial, but if you use the coupon code CRAFTBOOM you will extend the trial to up to 3 months! Defenitely worth a try!
