Hi, My paypal is linked with a CC but the paypal it self is not verfied. Someone in my family used the credit card on paypal to donate to a site. How can I get the money back? It's $70+ alot of money. Someone told me to reverse it what shall I do? It was transfered via CC.
If the donation was done using Paypal, you can easily initiate a charge back through 'Resolution Center' link on your Paypal page. Regards, RightMan
I did not like verfy it because I didnt desposit funds but I can buy. Dont I need to contact the bank?
Since you used the services of Paypal to complete the transaction, Paypal too can help you in reversing the transaction as well. You do not need to go to your bank for it. Regards, RightMan
Can this be done .. If one clicks the donate button and gives money i dont think one can initiate chargebacks .. Anyone did that before ..? And if you contact the bank and they reverse the payment then your paypal will be limited and will have negative balance i think So you need to first confirm these with paypal ..
No it wasnt a donate button, It was a direct transfer to an email. What is the instructions to get my cash back?
is this categorized as intangible purchase? If yes, you can't do any dispute.. i don't know about chargeback..
Did the relative use your own PC to do the payment? If not, then you may initiate charge back citing unauthorized usage! Regards, RightMan
90% out of 100% win to get their money back when they directly starts a chargeback process from their bank instead of using resolution center in paypal. now rest is up to you.
DISPUTE!!!!! and make sure you let paypal know that it was fradulent or that you were scammed and they will return your money back to you. Just be persistent when contacting them regarding this matter.
you click on the transaction and at the bottom there is another link that you click to request the money back. the CC charge will get canceled, but could take a couple days to post, assuming the receiver is ok with the refund.
Would'nt I lose since its online goods he donated to, its some gameserver he donated to. What shall I do?
The onus is entirely on you to prove to Paypal that the payment was done by mistake and that you never received anything in return. If the people at gameserver readily agrees to your refund, it will be all the more easier! Regards, RightMan
Well why don't just do the chargeback , just to your transaction and do chargeback , most of the time paypal refunds the money to the buyer.
Yes... of course, Paypal does refund the money to the buyer most of the times, but only after it does its own checking and assessment of the disputed transaction! Regards, RightMan
