Paypal Regulatory update: Add a bank account in India

I got this mail just 20 min before but why they need us to add bank if we use paypal ...

We are updating our systems to comply with the requirements set out in the notification of the Reserve Bank of India (“RBI Guidelines”) that apply to all online payment gateways. Hence, we require all PayPal users in India to add a valid bank account in India to their PayPal account in order to continue to receive export-related payments and withdraw their money.
Currently, our systems indicate that your PayPal account has not yet been linked to a bank account in India. Please add a valid bank account now.


So friends what if i do not want to add bank to mine paypal acc ?

 

You won't be able to receive/withdraw money from paypal without adding your valid bank account to paypal.

I believe it's the new regulatory that paypal is having since a couple months back.

 

So, now the limitation by Paypal will be in action within few days.
PayPal gave almost 1 extra month to us to do whatever we can.

 

I'm not sure why paypal implemented this new regulatory in the first place. But one thing for sure, This is only needed for people from india. Perhaps it's a personal request from RBI.

I'm not from India, and I can just add a credit card to my paypal account and verify it. I can use paypal to the full extend.
