I got a premier ac in Paypal. I am planing to sell some comps and hardware using a proper invoicing method. What I would like to know is how I should go for it, so that,in case I got a dispute, valid or invalid, i wont end you at the loosing side (when i have done all things neat at my end) I haven't gone thru PayPal's invoicing tools till now, but I think we would need much more docs in case of a dispute. It would be great, if some experienced person can share his thoughts here. Thanks in advance
Yes, you need proof of delivery too. If you are using your post office to send then make sure you sign up for insurance and proof of delivery. The best is to use DHL or Federal Express where you have online tracking and if it shows that the buyer receives it, there is no dispute. Make sure that you send directly to the person's Paypal address and not to an alternative address especially if that address is in a different country or state.
i c ... so in case of dispute, would it be ok, if we produce the scanned copy of the receipt that reads - delivered, (or screenshot from the site that shows the tracking id and its details as confirmed shipment ) .. would this be enough to win the dispute? also how long should it take for such a dispute to get back out funds from 'held' to available ? and what abt if the buyer dispute on goods quality issue - like RAM or HDD send to him is not working .. pls note that here we are talking abt the FAKE disputes... [ but i would also like to know abt the legal aspects of the issue, in case its a sincere one ... ] thanks
There is no way to determine what is real or fake disputes as far as Paypal is concerned since the product never reaches Paypal.
Steps to follow to be at a safer side 1. USe PayPal INTERNAL Invoicing tool to send a money request (you will receive an email - dont delete it) 2. the buyer will and you will receive another email notification (again dont delete it) 3. send the physical stuff (keep shipping invoice handy - Scan it) 4. from the shipping company's website track the shipment and take a print if the delivery is already been made) 5. in case of dispute, make sure to send information mentioned in above 4 steps ASAP to PayPal. That's it. nothing more.. Regards, Mainienator
If he claims that it is faulty then do not refund him until he sends you everything back. Make sure that you have appropriate packing materials to protect the items.
and yes ofcourse.. the point which i missed "keep the packaging material scans. bar codes etc and any other information" is covered by eddy2099. Thanks eddy2099.
hmm.. this was something i was looking for thanks to both of u, for sharing this useful info, this might just be good enough of a proof cheers!
