Paypal refund of £1 - WTF!!

Someone bought a listing on one of my directories for a WHOLE £1, and it was there for 5 months - then I got a chargeback (had to refund the money) for the whole £1.

It was more time than it was worth for me to type an explaination to paypal saying the person hPd bought a link and it had been there for 5 months already - but I did it anway :)

and Paypal STILL refunded the money to the guy!!

Is this normal behaviour from Paypal?, and more to the point...normal for directories?

thanks in adv for your thoughts

    James.

£1 chargeback, and the payment was made 5 months ago? Absurd! The person who paid you must be experiencing some financial difficulties.

LOL- I tell you, I was shocked... hopefully he bought some fries and choked on them :)

It took me at least 25 minutes to write a well worded explaination to Paypal, just to save £1 - which I ended up not even saving!

I'm guessing this tiny amount doesn't happen very often?

6 months for some companies, up to a year for Amex. Its really annoying.

Anyways, you've got to be seriously touched in the head to scam anyone over $2, not to mention 5 months later though a chargeback...
