Hi friends, I heard a lot of trouble surrounding paypal. I didn't actually believe it first. I used to get a lot of phishing mails and none could decieve me. today, when I tried to access paypal to take out my balance of nearly 50 dollars, urgently required, they say, the account is blocked. The reason is that somebody some days ago tried to access my account in an unauthorized fashion. But I am pretty sure that nobody did that because no one knows my paypal email address. Also the password is unbreakably strong with several characters The account requires me to submit a credit card detail. I don't have a credit card. Now, friends, is this the way to resolve unauthorized account access try? I don't have a credit card and for this reason, I just applied for citi credit card. Also applied for another bank's credit card. I don't think paypal is being fair with me. Their methods of account operation is downright wrong. I may have to write a review of it and try to let the world know of this fact. I wrote a letter to paypal and strictly asked them to restore my account or they will be badly hit. I know several people here have found the same problem. I will keep this thread live with what is happening to my account. Keep your ideas and thoughts posted. thanks.
I didn't verify my account. I was recieving funds below 500 dollars monthly. and I had linked my bank account to receive the funds. I need a credit card to verify the account. and I don't have a CC . If I had verified the account, they would not be asking for a credit card right.
paypal limited account if your login IP change... which made them think someone else login into your account and since you are not verified so paypal think its time for you to verify your account thats why they limited your account and asking for CC statement.... this is how paypal work.... unverified account at some point will get limited and asked for CC... and so there is no one to blame other then yourself since you didnt verified your account.... and about phishing, paypal cant stop hackers and losers from making fake login page... nor paypal can monitor all those bad guys sending fake mails.... so its not a paypal problem or trouble because paypal dont have power to take actions against hackers... its the job of cyber crime department.... most of the time troubles are caused because of the user.... and 90% users dont read TOS or paypal policy before joinning and when they get limited or suspended they claim paypal is bad... who did this and that... but the fact is 80% time the user is to be blame.... i think even presedent bush got his paypal account suspended for buying porns through his account.... because paypal have proof he break paypal policy by buying porn...
What you are saying about logging in from a different IP is rubbish. This would not trigger them to limit your account.
maybe its rubbish for you and others but for me it isn't cause i get limited when i access from a different PC... last year they did that to lots of peoples who access there account from different ISP with different IP....
For an IP change alone - it wouldn't. Maybe your account was under high security, and the IP address change triggered the limitation. If IP changes did this alone, then people with dynamic IP addresses would just be screwed.
I think that it is indeed needed for you to verify your account especially if your receiving a huge sum of money and withdrawing at this paypal through your account as well. Anyway there are lots of credit card that can be used I just don't have any idea though as for us were using EON
