They will ask our email id just to confirm that we are the real owners of the account and we are having a valid Phone number. Even if we made a some BST deals in DP we have to provide our PayPal email to receive the funds. Suppose if i'm buying domains from you, you should tell your paypal email id to me. So, telling the email id is nothing a big matter.

Telling other info's except the email only going to hurt you.

+301 or number like +801 or similar 3 digit numbers are calls generally originating from VOIP (internet calls). They are not calls for greece or antarctica or some other world. Dont associate that with country codes.
One may even receive calls with no number (Sometimes "PRIVATE" is written as person calling). I have done that quite a times to some friends to frighten them ...lol :p

Though i a yet to receive such call for any verification or shit.
Don't know why they are calling people! THEIR MOTIVE???

I've not received any calls from paypal. Someone could be using online calling services to scam you. Beware of such calls.

There is no scam, as till they are no asking for personal info or passwords, etc.

Giving info like just your paypal email is not a suicide or something. You give it away all over the internet when you shop or get payments.
    As simple as that!

I received the call as well. She said that they wanted to make sure my account is in compliance with RBI, asked my primary email ID and last 4 digits of credit card.
