I had an old limited paypal account with around $240 in it. I'm now able to request funds as 180 days is up. I don't have a bank account attached. Am i able to request a cheque be sent?

How would i go about doing this?

well there's actually no fun of calling a cheque until you have a bank account. u cant get the cheque deposited in someone else's bank account. and there's no hurry as such. u may open a bank account by your name (same as in paypal) then you may call for a cheque!

when a account is limited then it cannot receieve or send money from that account... so there is no way he can transfer his money to someone else's account.....:D

and if you mean by transfer to bank account then no its not possible either as no bank will cash your check on your friends account.... they are all account pay checks.... so only the person that check was issued for can cash it...

    confusing isn't it?

I was talking about paypal account.

Anyway it looks the money is lost, so time to move on :) though if you want, and if you some reasonable reason, you can give them a call. They will take 20 mins to respond but can solve this issue.

You have to open the bank account.Other wise you can't withdraw the money.Open the account with the same name as paypal account name.

You will most definitely need to have a bank account otherwise there is no way to encash the check which you get from Paypal or anywhere else. The most you could do is just to frame up the check and stare at it until you are prepared to sign up for a bank account.

In this time and age, it is really not a good idea to keep all your money under your pillow or your shoes so a bank account is the minimum requirement if you are serious about your money.

If you already have a bank account, you do not need to sign up for a new one just to encash the paypal check, the existing one which has your name would do the trick.

I have a bank account obviously which was used on another paypal account. would i be able to request a check and then cash it in from my local bank.

Not really a big deal but would be nice to get it if possible.

Nothing is lost. I know guys who charge a couple bucks and pull the limit off your paypal account if its limited. Nothing should be required because those guys know how to talk. Then you can send me some money after its fixed :)
