Hello, I sold an item on eBay for £255, and I have a PayPal basic account, Is it possible for my basic account to get that payment? I saw somewhere basic accounts only account to receive £200 a month, but im not sure.

Basic accounts are limited, yes, but I'm not sure if it's that low. Last time I used a basic one it was $1000 before they forced us to upgrade. Check the paypal site, it'll be there

personal paypal account is not for business transactions. they will limit your account if they found your are doing business transactions with your personal account. i think the limits you are talking about is only for withdrawal not the money you receive from your client. However, big transactions will raise a flag with PP.

If you earn money by selling items online, you should use a PayPal Premier account or business account to receive your online payments

Better for you to go with paypal business account for your own safety as you are dealing with selling items at ebay which considerd as business.

You can get the payment but there will be a fee and you cannot withdraw it until you get a credit card and/ or bank account.

    Paypal is such a ripoff.
They should just charge a flat fee of 25 cents.
Now im going to have to go out and start a huge
Payment processor that charges pennies, dang it.

All of you are not getting the point, I sell like 1 item a year, this is my first sale, I only need to sell it to get some computer parts..

I don't see why I would want a buisiness account or premier account when I barely sell stuff online.

@CashCrate ATP: I don't want to withdraw either, Im just purchasing some computer parts with the money
