PayPal Problems

    Hello,
I was trying to make a payment for an item after clicking a Buy Now button. I pressed on the option for not having an account and typed in my credit card information. It is a Vanilla Visa Gift Card. To the right of the card it says debit over a visa logo. I bought it at CVS.

After typing in my credit card information, the error message I received was "Your credit or debit card has been declined for this transaction; PayPal could not validate the card. Please verify that the information you entered is correct, or try a different credit or debit card.", After that, I checked my credit card information and retyped it. I still received the error message.

Is there anything I can do? To get rid of this message and make the payment go through?

@deluxdon: It's a sunday and it's 10:00 so calling is out of the picture. I already emailed them. The gift card is valid because I just purchased a domain from name.com and my balance is $40. I was trying to purchase something for $15

@ghazal: I had no problems at all purchasing from name.com

    EDIT: PayPal responded:

I can see on your account that the transaction you tried to make was
stopped by our Internal Security Program. I apologize for the
inconvenience this may have caused you.

Our internal security program determines whether an individual
transaction has a high risk of failure or not. This has nothing to do
with your credit rating, your credit limit, the available funding source
in your bank the account, or the seller individually.

Usually, if the transaction does not fit the pattern of transactions
that you normally make, our Internal Security Program will not allow it
to be initiated. Unfortunately, since there are literally thousands of
transactions that go through the PayPal System each minute, it is
logically impossible to manually turn it off. It is a self-regulating
    program.

Again, this is for the security of your PayPal account. We want to
safeguard you from any possible problems that might arise if we allow
this transaction to be completed. Sadly to say, I cannot explain
exactly why or how the program works, as that would render our Internal
Security practices useless. Please keep in mind that we have this
process in place to provide you with the safest online payment
processing service in the world. I hope you understand the need of
having this Internal Security program in the PayPal system.

You can still make a payment using a different funding source. I suggest
that you use your bank account to pay for the item instead.

I wish I could provide you with another option for this concern Mr.
Milazzo. However, this is the most appropriate solution that we have for
you right now. I apologize for the inconvenience that this might have
    caused you.

I appreciate the opportunity to assist you. We are committed to making
your experiences at PayPal pleasant and rewarding.

Maybe your gift card is not valid for this or you need to try it out later.

You can also give them a phone call (paypal) and ask about this.

    DON.
