Paypal Problem

Discussion in 'PayPal' started by nikon, Feb 29, 2008.

I have paid someone on paypal and Didnt get for what I have paid. I open a dispute there and won the dispute but paypal says that person is not having sufficient balance in his account to give me my money back. I think he had move his amount to another account or withdrawn it.

What should I do in this case?

There is nothing much you can do except to engage a lawyer to bring that party to court.

I would believe that depending on the amount, Paypal would send a collection agency to his registered address to ask for the money back but if he uses a fake address then there is nothing much they can do.

Frankly in such cases, the scammer already planned to disappear with the funds, the accounts in Paypal would be of minimal importance to him. I doubt Paypal would go after him and litigation isn't very possible as he might not even be using his real name and info. Who knows he might be at the other side of the globe.

So just forget it and write it off and move on with life. It is painful no doubt but this is part and parcel of doing business on the Internet.

Paypal got their fees; that's about all the help you'll get from them unfortunately.

Sorry for that nikon. I lost $1100 this way once when a DP writer delivered content that she had plagiarized.

After I filed a PeePee dispute, she simply closed the case since transactions related to services cannot be disputed.

You are lucky it was only $65 but still I feel your pain.

it means the money you paid for him was already been used. and he has - negative balance. so if someone paid him the money will redirected to your account. but it will take sometime...

Hmm, I thought it's possible because someone filed a dispute (ah, that bitch) against me before and I don't have any money on my account. She won, leaving my account on negative.

Negative balance is against the rules; he will have to open a new account under a different email address now, so you probably would still not get a refund unfortunately; scammers are the only ones who seem to do well with PayPal.

Pakistan is not even an approved or supported Paypal country. That should pretty much raise some red flags since he would have used fake details to get his account. I am sure that he would never had the intention to do anything good. There is pretty much nothing you can do about it.

The guy probably is up to no good and would use all means to sign up again and cheat others, I am sure about it. I doubt he would care about anything.

No disrepect to Pakistani I really had bad experience with dealing with them. I dealt with a hosting company which turned out to be from Pakistan who in turned stole my credit card details which I used to sign up for hosting and lost several thousands of dollars because of the charges. Some merchant did not want to refund since all my details were being used to make the online purchase. After that, I will not deal with any Pakistani as I really do not know who can be trusted and who cannot.

Precisely, do not deal with anyone who uses fake info. That is already a big telling sign that something would go wrong. Just do not deal with anyone suspicious again. You really cannot blame paypal for this.

I doubt there is really nothing much you can do about it. I am really sorry that it happens to you.

LOL, you'd rent your sig to a drug dealer and wonder how a scammer got your $65 on PeePee. LOL, that's hilarious.
