I had a basic paypal account and I was happy with it. I got payments and paypal didnot take any fees. for credit cards paypal took charges it was ok. I upgraded my account to premium and now paypal is taking fees for every payment I receive. for basic account paypal doesnot charge any fees but for prenium account paypal is charging me a fee for every non-credit card payment I receive. what should I do. should I downgrade to basic.
i think for basic the first 5 transactions doesn't have fees but after that you'll be charged as well
for basic I got all payments more than 20 free of cost. only for credit card the first five are free and the rest are charged. I am not talking about credit card payments. I am talking about paypal email payments. all paypal email payments are free in basic. all paypal email payments are charged fees in premium.
Hey falguni1, There is no need to downgrade ur account. You can have 2 accounts . one is a personal, the other is a business...
what is business account. is premium account business account. how to get another basic account. do I need another email id to get a second basic account.
Well PayPal charge fees on each and every transactions for Business or Premimum Account holder. While Personal account holder save fees on each transactions. But Personal account have limitation of 5 Credit Card transactions. So base thing for you is use one Personal account with currunt account. You need to use second Mail address for new account.
yes you need separate email to create new personal account and you should also have different credit card or bank details too. Well, Personal account is only for personal not for business
different credit card and bank details means. . do I need to use someone else's credit card and bank details for second account.
do you have verified account? How do you verify your paypal account ? either you need credit card or bank details ... So, it should be different, I believe.
hey yeah, premium account = business account. also use another email id to get a second basic (personal) account thanks
I know I have to add a credit card to paypal account. you said you need different credit card for second account. I have only one credit card. different means do I need to get another credit card in my name to verify the second account. why not add the same credit card to both accounts.
As I stated in the other posts, Paypal is not a charity and it is expensive to run a business as theirs so they will need to charge fees in order to turn a profit and pay for expenses. Paypal fees are amongst the lowest in the industry. A Premier or Business account allows you to use the account to make money through while a personal account is mainly for someone who uses the account to spend money and thus no fees. Typically, the personal account allows receiving money but it is pretty much limited to just selling your personal items over the auction and collecting money from friends not amount to a business or to make money from. A Business account is not exactly the same as a Premier account. A Business account is for a legally registered business to sign up for a paypal account, you will need the legal incorporation certification and also a bank account in the name of the company to operate one. A Premier account is like a business account which allows you to collect money from other members, the main distinction between a premier and a business account is that a premier account is for a private individual who wants to collect money through a paypal account and does not have a registered company. Thus a personal account can only receive money for free if they come from someone's else paypal balance but you are pretty restricted (assuming you can cheat them by treating such payments as non-profit) as you can only receive from other sellers who maintains paypal balances so that means sellers from the 40 out of the 190 paypal supported countries. I am assuming that you have never done business in the real world before because if you did, you would realized that people do not do things for free. I am assuming that you are charging for your services because you would have expenses yourself. Paypal is no different. In business, you need to compensate those who help you. If you do not use paypal, would you have made that sale ? If you have both a personal and business/premier account, you are prohibited from receiving money at your personal account. So if you plan to do it for the sake of not paying fees then I am sorry to say that that would not be possible as far as your contractual agreement with paypal goes. You cannot use someone's else credit card or bank account as it can amount to fraud and identity theft in some countries and also the fact that you cannot share accounts. In some countries, you can even go to jail for this. Typically, the spilt between a personal and business/premier account is useful only if you want to separate your business from your personal expenditures. Thus the requirement for separate bank accounts and credit cards. If that is not your intention then keep a single premier account and you be fine. If you think the fees are too high, make sure that your profit margin is higher than the fees so that you will always make a profit. If you need to raise your prices then go right ahead and do so or alternatively, try to cut your variable costs.
You cant add the same credit card to both accounts...one CC can only use once.. I think u can get another CC in ur name to verify the second account. Also can use vcc verify the second account..
I requested twice for my old Paypal account and never got reply from Paypal. So closed the old account and created new which is very fast way To OP: If you are going to use the Paypal account for business needs then you should stay with your premier/business account and pay appropriate fees. Personal account is not for business. So anytime they can block your account if they found you are violating their TOS.
ok I will use premium account thanks everybody for help. I was not aware of this that basic account is not for business. even if I get 2$ they charge 50 cents as fees.
And risk getting into problem. Don't you know that if you have both a personal and premier account, you cannot tell your customers to do as you have just stated. It is clearly stated in the legal agreement, didn't you read that ? Do not suggest something which could get the OP into trouble. https://www.paypal.com/us/cgi-bin/webscr?cmd=xpt/UserAgreement/ua/USUA-outside#receive-policy
