    hi. my question is this;

    Paypal says this:

    (fees)
    https://www.paypal.com/us/cgi-bin/webscr?cmd=_display-fees-outside

    Receive payments funded by Credit Card, Debit Card or Buyer Credit: For personal account is 4.9% + $0.30 USD (limit of 5 transactions per 12 month period). For business or premier it is 1.9% to 2.9% + $0.30 USD.

    So premier has lower fees? Therefore there is no point in getting personal account?

    Also, lets say I want to get payed 6x this year via ppl's credit cards (into my paypal account) would I be able to do this via personal plan? What if it is paypal to payapal transfer?

    I still don't see why anyone would have a personal account if the fees are higher and the transactions are limited. I am reading something wrong?

    personal only gets charged 4.9% for payments by credit card. if it's paypal to paypal (or bank transfer for instance), you don't pay any fees (while premier and business do).

    Well, at the same time as a personal account only allows 5 incoming credit card transactions, it means that the 6th such transaction would be rejected and you probably be prompted to upgrade to the Premier account to accept it.

    true.. but like I said, it depends on HOW many transactions you get. I myself, don't get much these days, so it's not bad for me.

    I'm interested that if you upgrade from Personal to Business or Premier Account is there any further verification? (like billing address, telephone number or so?) Or just the classic Credit Card verification?

    As long as your Personal account is verified, you will not be subjected to further verification if you upgrade to a Business or Premier Account.

    The only catch is that with a Business Account, you need to have a bank account with your business name as all checks and withdrawal needs to be made in your business name. The Premier Account has all the necessary features of the Business account and you do not need a business to use it.
