I was just wondering if there's a monthly or daily limit to the amount you can receive from a Paypal Personal Account?
You can only recieve up to $500 a month I believe! You can also only accept a FEW (2/3) Accept credit or debit cards a month!
It would be in your best interest (if US based) to go to your county clerk, register your DBA, and then take that form to your local bank. Open up a business bank account. Then sign up for a business account with PayPal. Also make sure to link your business credit card with PayPal. It's a BEAUTIFUL thing when you are buying websites, paying coders, and so forth. You can pay directly from your account. Not having to wait the 5 business day transfer to PayPal from account. It just pulls from your business funds like a credit card.
Currently the limitation for personal accounts is that you can recieve credit card payments up to 5 times a year. And it is also best to have your personal account verified as soon as possible.
You can recieve much more. There was a time where I'd get a few grand a month. HOWEVER, sudden jumps and large individual payments(1k+) cause the account to get frozen some times, at least the first time it happens. Calling paypal sorts that out quickly. Oh yes, and I used the debit like crazy, with no problems.
Just don't sell anything with your paypal personal account and you be fine. It is okay to receive money through Mass Pay or money from friends but nothing more.
I am not sure about the exact amount, but I know there is a limit. Also, I have heard that PayPal tends to freeze your account if you have too many transactions within a given amount of time, and they can freeze it anywhere ranging from hours to months. Therefore, it is a good idea to frequently/regularly deposit your paypal balance into your bank account, or at least dont let all of your money sit there.
I don't know about the limits, but if you receive a large amount of money the fees are very high compared to premier account
Ah, I forgot one terribly large point. Don't trust paypal. Flush the money that comes in out frequently. They act as a bank, but are not subject to the same guidelines. They can, and often have, frozen innocent accounts, never to be opened again. Same thing goes for epassporte(I have a personal vendetta against them)
Unlimited funds can be received and unlimited funds can be sent, once verified. 5 Credit Card transactions per year are allowed at fee of 5.x% + $0.xx/transaction.
