I have just read the post on Paypal FAQ for Indian User's. It was very informative and WHM was right about what he said. I just got frustrated reading through so many posts... yes read all of them. Imporatant Points 1) Internation DEBIT card is DIFFERENT from a CREDIT card! 2) You can verify your paypal account with a CREDIT card not a DEBIT card. 3) VISA AND MASTER logo's are there on BOTH debit and credit cards.. but only credit cards are counted for verification. I am an Indian, and its not just INDIANS who can avail the benefit of the above stated post. Anyone in the world can do so ( Barring a few countries which are listed as **High Risk Countries**. I work for HSBC International Payments team so I am very well aware of the above and how Internation and Domestic (Real Time Gross Settlement) payments work. People have various options to receive funds, getting a service like Epassporte or Gcard isnt that high on my list coz the fees are exhorbitant. The charge you $5 for every $100 you put in your account. That's just too much for me. Maybe not for others but for me it is. The better option would be to open a non resident US bank account. That was you can have funds transferred to your bank account from a thousand different services. Use it for paypal, adsense and so on. The fees are very low. Search the net for non resident US bank account, you will get a lot of nice stuff. Cheers, Furion
That sounds very bad. 5% is way too much anyway, and i am sure that they charge me more for $2 purchases. It is more like 25% for $2 which is obviously too much and i think that paypal needs to decrease its fees to prevent a huge increase n BETTER competition. Maybe you should try google checkout instead? it sounds quite nice and i am sure that there fees are not as high. Namecheap.com already accepts google checkout. Rob
Hmm, Google check out is just for US Residents. I am from India so thats not an option for me, people can use fradulents methods and get it. But be advised, that US Government has started "USD Serial Payments" and is tracking every single dollar in the world. You might not get in trouble today or tomorrow but as you grow, you will definitely have a pile against you. People can try opening an Account with E*Trade, and use their brokerage account as bank accounts (Non US people too). I am in the process of opening my first US bank account, using my own contacts. But thats that! On a simpler note, Do get US bank accounts. You will reduce your charges significantly. As paypal and others transfer funds to you US Bank account for FREE. and bla bla bla. Yep and google Checkout is a good alternative for US citizens.
I find this guy selling the non resident US bank account. http://cgi.ebay.com/NON-RESIDENT-US...0QQihZ001QQcategoryZ47103QQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem Is it reliable method to withdraw money ? Anybody have such experience ?
Could you tell me which country are you from? I am from India, and paypal does not accept Debit cards for verification. I tried it personally.
Very Strange, I have international debit cards from HSBC, ICICI AND SBI Bank, But it did not accept them... No Idea why...
