some one instead of sending me money sent $$ to a wrong adress which is a typo of my email address & that person has the email at gmail but has not registered at paypal(does not have paypal). Can anything be done to bring money back to my paypal.
so he can file a dispute & claim so that paypal investigates & refunds him & he pay to corerct address then...
Before you do anything, check the header of the email because I actually got several such emails and they all are phishing emails. Move your mouse over the link in the email and see if it looks like a real Paypal link. If you did not register that email as your email then it is not one which you can use with paypal. Basically even if it is real and the person dispute, it is not going to make a different to you, technically it is not an email address associated with paypal.
just inspect the links in email are they pointing to paypal site if its a pnishing mail it wont point to paypal but it will pretend to show like this paypal.limitedaccount.com or some IP donot click the link Regards Alex
