PayPal hands down has the WORST customer support on the internet, or anywhere else.

I don't think PayPal's policy update will have to do anything with the bank withdrawl's . It's on the whims and fancies of RBI now when they try to resolve the drama with PayPal.

I've never had a problem with Paypal before. I use it for all selling/buying on Ebay. Has there been any problems with users in the US?

I guess Paypal is least bothered about the issue.

Paypal, (if they were bothered) could've done 1 simple thing -

    1. Speed up the check issue process for Indians (Say 1-2 days to process check payments)
    2. Deliver checks by Fedex or DHL.

This could've reduced the intensity of damage by a hundred times.

Paypal is keen on blaming RBI, while they're actually at fault.

Its Paypal problem with Indian Paypal user only.

One thing Paypal shows us i.e. worst customer support. They are like a parrot saying and repeating one thing over and over. They talked here and there not on actual issue. First we were informed about system uograde then policy change, now Indian Regulator/RBI. They dont have any transperancy in their work. On what thing we trust how we can know. Now from 2 weeks no more update about Indian paypal issue from Farhad Irani or any responsible person on the blog. What the hell r going on? Lost all trust from Paypal.

I second your opinion. Paypal is totally at fault here... for doing business in the country without observing its guidelines. The least it can do now, is to comply immediately and in the meanwhile, speed up and make efficient the alternate withdrawal avenues!

WOW... What a statement!
Do they not have any courier company around or no men to go to their office/collection centers!
It is the least they could have done... to support their customers in such a crisis ! I guess... these people have never heard of customer satisfaction! :(

Guys stop blaming paypal...I know its there fault..But you must realize that Indian govt takes ages to approve anything...

And option for bank withdrawals are only for US and India..3 years ago there was no such facility available..So i guess most of the you are kinda new to paypal , so stop criticizing..

Atleast they started with direct bank withdrawals for India..Which other payment processor except MB allows that??

I remember 3 yrs ago pp market for Indian users was very small , still they took care of us and started bank withdrawals...

And you all know how Indian govt acts...if this thing was to happen in US,UK,AUS or any other country it would have been solved till now..

So stop cursing and have patience..They havent stolen the money..You can still withdraw through CC or checks as in other countries..If a special service doesnt work for some particular country for a month or so , that doesnt mean you guys start cursing the company...

Yes but PayPal is likely to start withdrawal option in mid March and I think after March 10, we would have no problem to cash out our money.:)

I agree... However, MB doesn't support Direct Bank withdrawals for India, it's Bank Wire instead. Bank wires are supported by other payment processors like AlertPay too.
