Hello all, I use paypal for all transactions as a buyer but now i am not able make any payment. I am a verified premier member and have added my credit card linked it and confirmed it but still when I try to make payments I get the message that there is a limit on how much money you can send through paypal. I am getting confused cant figure out what can be the prob. Please help me
Are you sure you're verified? Did you enter the four digits that are supposed to appear on your cc statement? Because that only happens to unverified members.
There is no sending limit for the paypal account in india once you get verified. Is there any difference between personal account and premier account?
There should not be any difference between how much you can spend through either your personal or premier account in a month (if the accounts are properly verified) but from what I was told each transaction cannot be over $10,000. The only difference is how much you can receive. Typically a premier account would have no limit on the amount of money it can receive and for personal account (since you cannot use it for making money) you are restricted to receiving up to $500 a month through the merchant services ie auction and no restriction if you are receiving money from family and friends (ie non-business money transfers)
Yes my account is verifed I have added my credit card and linked it by entering the 4 digit paypal code. But still I have those errors. I have the proof- Please help me out.
If you click on 'View Limits' what do you see ? It appears that your account is a Personal account and not a Premier account as you state.
They really such at support. Here's what I got- <quote>I apologize for any inconvenience it has caused you. PayPal reviews every transaction before it is approved, and occasionally, we must limit funding options or decline a payment. This is because we have an internal security program that looks into each transaction individually. I know that you do have sufficient funds to pay for that transaction, but then, this security system that we have is not looking into your credit. It is just looking on the transaction itself and checks if there may be any possible problems in the future. And if that's the case, we will not let the transaction go through with your credit card. I understand that this situation can be frustrating, and as much as I want to help you on this, we cannot turn this security program off since it is a self regulating program. In this situation, you still use a different funding source.</quote> I even didn't get what they wanted to say.
Basically they say that they looked at who you want to pay and found that based on the other parties past history (probably the seller has been limited a few times or has a lot of chargeback) and found that the seller is not reliable. So to protect you, their security system decline your transaction. In short, what they do is to protect you from security risks when dealing with that seller.
don't ask here, we don't work at paypal. Ask them directly. by direct i mean call to get this solved.
