Paypal Not Accepting valid PAN Card Number

btw - I am not a programmer (Just tried and it worked) of course there is no harm in doing so.

 

Just enter their sample PAN ID and change the numbers random and in the middle add your initial as per paypal.
Use at your own risk...Soon you will be in trouble

I am having a valid pan card but am waiting so that they rectify this error ..
Really those who have submitted modified/dummy pan card number , a big trouble may be waiting you people after April 1st

 

as for me the first name was last name in paypal .I mean both were different and paypal didnt accepted when i entered as it is in pan card.but from reading this thread i just changed my last name letter in pan card number and it has been worked.
It looks only that the last name was not matching

 

PayPal is going down now, I think the declining period has been started.
You can,t have 2 accounts while entering your PAN card number.

 

for any money transaction... if PAN is used - this means that it is been recorded somewhere... and for all of those who are altering their income tax filling and not showing correct income... will come under scanner - as PAN transactions would give a clear view.

RBI is screwing us - govt is the same - no one is doing anything for general public but imposing regulations - taxes... and all sorts of income generating techniques so that govt should get more funds... and spend it on their corrupt leaders.... much much irritating.

You should have a proper first name and last name for the verification of the pan card, so I am sure paypalk is gonna check against IT india database

Contact Paypal and say that you have made a mistake in entry of PAN and ask them to modify it with your REAL unaltered PAN number

The first name and last name should be same in paypal and pan card if not it will not accept ..

 

Even I have the same issue, but I am able to send & receive money..

 

ok i have serious questions about people changing their PAN,....
it may work, and you may get $$$ ,....
but if the PAN u entered is actually some other persons PAN,
he's going to get into MAJOR trouble with FEMA/ FERA and related laws!!!

If PAN is reported by Paypal to RBI/Banks then they are not fool that they will trust anyone PAN card with any one else.
People giving wrong pan card have to rectify it at some stage.

I too added my PAN card instead of company card but I guess that legally I have done correct.

 

I have updated my PayPal with my PAN card and it accepted mine at one attempt. It was a successfully. Why you and some other people are having trouble I really don't know. Try contacting PayPal, they might be of some help.

 

There is a lot of talkings going around but with no good solutions - on the other hand Paypal don't have a proper answer for this PAN issue. If you want to add your PAN card use the above mentioned method which would help you to get rid of the PAN issue. Otherwise you can't withdraw / send money from Paypal after April 1st.

I withdraw today. Safe to do it now so that on Aprial 1st our account is blank.

Anyone got a proper reply from Paypal yet?
I sent two emails for both of which they said, you can expect a reply in 003 hours. But I didn't get any response after that.
