Paypal Not Accepting valid PAN Card Number

what is the problem in having a PAN card..i used my brain thats why i had a PAN card made....dont try to bypass everything just to evade taxes........few people like you want everything should be free of cost

 

I also added my pan card no and it successfully added and working.

 

Try this - for example
Your PAN number is AZZPP1234D

Watch the "PP" after first 3 letters and before the numbers.
Change it to PD "your Initials"

So the PAN Number should be like this

AZZPD1234D

 

guess wait for them to fix their algorithm, then try again,.... right now their logo should do the trick (or the "security ..." link on the top right....

You did the same thing for your PAN Card ..?
But frankly this would be a Invalid PAN Card since one will modify the PAN card No. itself ...

ITS WORKING FINE and i did not make any changes mentioned above

 

Although my card worked perfectly... I saw somewhere if PAN is AZZPD1234D then P means Personal, and the following char is our last name's initial.

 

i just got a mail from paypal saying

BTW what is this " random deposits " is all about? why my pan card is not being accepted.Paypal is really making us mad.

 

What does D stands for?

 

dont alter your PAN from existing one, because once you give the PAN to paypal, you have no way of changing it. There is no option in paypal to make changes to PAN.

i also think that PP, only verifying your name to PAN issued by IT dept, rather than associating your paypal ac with PAN. If your PAN is linked to your paypal account, there there should be somewhere in the my account area, where you can view the entered PAN no.

 

you just cant go playing with your PAN card number,....

you get a Pan number, and you use it ... simple....

the 4th letter is "p" denotes a personal PAN number
the 5th letter is "supposed" to be your last name initial...

From the above link - if you enter details in the respective field, you will end up with an error message.

First Name: Enter (Your Lastname) don't enter your firstname
Middle Name: Ignore
Surname: Enter (Your Firstname) don't enter your lastname
DOB: 01-01-2010

If i use the PAN number from the above, it will decline because as per Paypal my firstname and lastname are in viceversa. All i did was change the PP to P(My Initials). It worked. Of course, it worked for my other friend too.

Voter Card Number will not work now but keep it ready ,after few days they will ask it.
You will also need below in future :

1)Voter ID card
2)Driving License (Guys who don't drive start learning and apply for it)
3)Last 3 Years IT Return Copy
4)An auth. letter from your Bank
5)Scan Copy of Passport
6)Age Proof to show you are 18 Years old
7)It may also ask Copy of works you do for customers to be sent in a CD to paypal (It is to safeguard you)
8)AN undertaking from you that protect paypal in case of chargebacks
9)2 Business References
10)Any other Document paypal might think is required to verify payments (Again It is to safeguard you)

 

You made a big mistake...
We know that paypal is just checking the last name first letter in the fifth character of PAN to check its validity and in my opinion that's the MOST STUPID METHOD TO VERIFY PAN NUMBER IMPLEMENTED BY PAYPAL

Now the so called PAN number you have submitted is invalid ...
It will come back to you soon and you may be in trouble

Thats why i am waiting so that paypal stops checking PAN by this lame method and rectifies/makes some other checking method

 

Thanks, i was facing the issue but it got accepted now after i changed my alphabet to initial.

 

So Paypal Logic of checking PAN card validity is Cracked Down in less than 2 days!

Hi, new here. Was searching for a solution.

Apparently Paypal are dumb enough not to know that we Indians don't have fixed surnames or sometimes the government departments screw up with first/last names.

In my PAN card, my first name / last name is reversed and not correct.

Is there any way to fix this problem?
