Paypal Not Accepting valid PAN Card Number

    Hello

    Paypal once again is causing headache to me by their flawed PAN card system

    I am trying to enter valid PAN card No. which i got 1+ year itself and this paypal is simply not accepting it

    I have been using this same PAN card no. in all my bank accounts, demat account,trading account etc without any problem

    The name in the card is exactly same as my paypal Premier account name..
    I have further verified my PAN card no. through
    https://incometaxindiaefiling.gov.in/portal/knowpan.do
    And it turns that my PAN card no. is perfectly valid ...

    So anyone having the same problem ..
    I am not contacting Paypal support as i found that they are worthless ...I will call the support if nothing gets sorted out ..

    For me it worked fine...

    I don't think they are validating it with IT dept they are simply checking that is should be 10 digit string so make sure you enter exactly 10 digit and it will work

    Some said in the thread that paypal is doing maintainence in their system so try after 10 hours you pan card will work fine at that time.

    It accepted my PAN. Make sure that you dont enter any space or anything in between, all nos and letters are correct (like 1 mistaken for I) etc. If nothing works, no option other than contacting paypal support, which is actually very slow.

    I have contacted the Paypal Support and also have uploaded my pan card scan copy to imageshack and have given a link to it
    Lets see
    I predict that i will get some useless copy paste reply ... but no harm in trying :)

    you should have same first and last name as in paypal and pan (only then it will go through). If you have initiials, i think you may have problem.
    mine went through without any problem.

    who knows! paypal may do some sort of name verification with govt PAN database.

    I was getting error, so i closed the paypal page, i tried again and this time i was able to login to my paypal account withour entering PAN no..looks like some error from paypal side.

    Anyone knows where to check PAN card no in paypal account?

    ^^Log out and then try to login and see if you are made to go through the process of entering PAN card number or not ..

    getjimmy - when did you get your pan? recently?
    i got my pan 3yrs ago and worked with me.
    may be paypal hasnt updated recently got pan nos or something?

    just try tomorrow.
    nothing to worry! as pan is just provisional with paypal as of now.

    Yes, it asks for PAN no again.

    Card is 2 year old...will be trying later tonight.

    Yes me too having the same problem. My pan id is 10 digit and no contains characters. Still it says invalid
