Paypal not accepting payment from Indian card to Indian paypal account

    I am from India, have a verified PayPal account and have been able to upload money to this account from my Netsafe card (HDFC Bank), in the past 2 years in all the supported currencies on the PayPal site. Today when I tried to upload a value of GBP 18 to my aforementioned account on PayPal, I got the following message.

    I do not have a credit card and have been generating the Netsafe card from my HDFC Bank Account/ Debit card and transferring the funds to PayPal till now and it was working perfectly fine.
    Would anybody be able to help me sort this issue out or suggestive an alternative method by which I can upload funds to my PayPal account?

    Send it to someone who is living abroad and then ask him to send to your account, so that it will become your PP balance and you will be able to pay to your Indian friend.

    I like to know, how did you add funds using HDFC VCC? Since I am also using HDFC VCC and I can't add funds to paypal. Let me guide please, thanks.

    ^^^ May be the method you use to add is wrong...

    Best way is to make a buy now button of the amount you need in PP. And then ask any of your friend to pay there using the vcc you created with hdfc. And you will get money in your account.

    PayPal I think is having issues about Indian accounts or IP addresses.

    @Digital_shubhi: Was using the method you had suggested till now, and its stopped working now.

    @deluxdon: Thanks for pointing out the other thread to me.

    So no resolution for this I guess. Time to put my PayPal account in the freezer and see what are the other options available.

    Best way contact them over phone or E-mail them and ask .
