You seem to be confused. How can a money market fund not have anything to do with interest rates? The earnings (yield) of a money market fund will depend on the prevailing market rates. At the moment I guess it is around 4%
I think there is some confusion reigning. As far as I can make out, the original poster seems to have sent $2 to paypal to link his credit card. Once paypal has verified the same, they will return back the same after deducting a very small amount of money (normally less than 11 cents)
