I wake up today I open my email and what I see? Paypal Payment for your invoice 001 hosting & advertising. So I get 145 EURO with out I sell anything no advertising, nothing. Can you please help me? What I have to do? Except the money as a gift from God or contact the buyer ?
With paypal i suggest you wait till anyone contacts you about this. If no one does for 45 days then consider it your money, else there is a risk of paypal claim on the payment. Your time starts now!
refund it. either it was a mistake or someone sent money to you from a hacked account. in both cases, you will have to refund the money later.
odds are you won't get to keep it. You can just wait 45 days and if you are lucky you might keep it, but most likly someone will find it missing. I'm not sure but they might even be able to charge you for it after 45 days.
I suggest you refund it. Maybe the money was given to you on accident or something. It MAY come back to haunt you back in future.
Just wait for some time if someone will claim for it but if no one claims for it then good for you =)
Most of you was correct... thank you guys. The seller contact me and it was about advertisement on my website...
Refund the money. Don't listen to the people saying that you should wait the 45 days. Those are the same people that would drive around an old lady laying in the middle of the road.
Contact the buyer and refund the money. I mean, if you had a hacker send out all of your money, you'd be pretty pissed right? Then again think about if the hacker still has access to the paypal account. Or if it's a hacker at all. Either way, contact the buyer and THEN refund the money.
Whoops, thanks. Must've skipped it, I usually read the first couple posts and make a reply. Mods close?
Whatever happened to ethics in business here? This is a no-brainer (based on the first post). Did you provide a service for the funds? Are the funds rightfully yours? If the answer to either of the above questions is no, then refund the money immediately, don't wait to be told to do so! Come on, really? Anyone advising that money be kept without knowing exactly where it came from is, well, advising theft.
